The park boasts The Liberty Landing Marina and the state-of-the-art Liberty Science Center and offers a range of activities, including boat cruises, fishing, and picnicking.

Take strolls on the pathways through the landscaped gardens, walk down the two-mile promenade to admire the spectacular waterfront views, and hop on a ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

2. The Empty Sky Memorial

The Empty Sky Memorial is dedicated to New Jersey’s 749 innocent residents who perished in the September 11, 2001 attacks at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, PA. The length of the memorial’s stainless steel walls, engraved with the victims’ names, is 210 feet long, the width of each side of the former World Trade Center Towers, and stands 30 feet high.

The 12-foot wide granite path between the walls directs visitors toward the Manhattan skyline where the former World Trade Center Towers once stood. Offer a few moments of silence and pay respect as you make your way down the granite path reading the names of those who were lost.

The magnificent Loew’s Jersey Theatre, with its wonderful Baroque-style facade, three-story lobby and jade-green columns, and opulent Italian Renaissance-style auditorium, opened its doors for the first time on September 28, 1929, while the grand piano in the music gallery above the entrance was played to entertain the waiting patrons.

In the years that followed, many greats entertained audiences from the massive stage, including The Ritz Brothers, Bob Hope, and Bing Crosby. The grand theatre is on the National Register of Historic Places and was recently renovated and continues to host enthralling live performances throughout the year.
